Kid N' Play - House Party

Now this is more like it. Hip Hop when I remembered it best. It wasn't about popping guns or the cash you got. It was about dancing, girls, and having fun. Peace, love, and Unity. But what I liked most about Hip Hop was the dance. Running Man, Roger Rabbit, Robocop, Cabbage Patch, the Smurf, MR2, Charleston, and all of em'. My signature move was the Wop. And what not a better way to show off Hip Hop in the 90's then the commercialization of it called House Party.

Here is the notorious rap battle between Kid and Play. The verses are pretty cool and are easy to comprehend. Today, you need a whole urban dictionary just to understand some things. HAHA

The infamous dance steps. I know all of you have tried it once in your lives.

Nanking - The Massacre of Nanking

The Nanking Massacre, commonly known as the Rape of Nanking, was an infamous genocidal war crime committed by the Japanese military in the capital of Nanjing, after it fell to the Imperial Japanese Army on December 13, 1937. The duration of the massacre is not clearly defined, although the violence lasted well into the next six weeks, until early February 1938. continued here

Yesterday marked the 70th Anniversary of Nanjing. Today at work I was browsing around on facebook and came across a site. Curious, I clicked on the site and read a tragic tale of China's past. This is the first time I have ever heard of this story and I wanted to share with you what I have read and watched. There was a film on the site and I will post the links below. The Massacre of Nanking truly shows us how war can be gruesome and horrific. The video is not for the feign of heart. The images can be disturbing. Discretion is advised.

Now how are people going to deny, with hard evidence, that these atrocities never occurred. It is just sad to know that things such as this go unrecognized.

In loving memory of all the lives lost.
