Yoshie - Bebop Crew

Alright, I haven't seen a clip from this girl for a long time. But, through perserverance, I was able to locate another clip. Her name is Yoshie from the Be-bop Crew in Japan. And yeah, she's a sick ass hip-hop dancer, locker, house dancer, and all sorts. One of these days I shall meet her. I'll be like. Watashi wa Barry desu! or would it be Troungu desu? well watever. Enjoy the clip!

Street Dancer

Umm. Umm. Umm. YEah. This video is off the hook. Some crazy chicka doing some bizarre dance in the middle of the streets of Japan. She's pretty dope. Bgirl!

See You After School

I finally got a copy of this film called See You After School. I'm actually not sure if this is the right translation of the title, but I've seen it translated this way on other sites. My friend begs to differ. He's Korean and he says my title is wrong. Anywhoo, here is the general synopsis of the film. The movie is about this guy named Goong-dahl. Nothing has gone right for him in his whole life. It starts off with him being in a clinic trying to better himself of his loser-streak! After the "reject-camp", he enrolls into high school with hopes of making a fresh start. He finds a fellow clinic patient (his friend) who is also enrolled into the school. But he looks different; his friend is cool and not a geek. He tells him his secret and that he must make a name for himself by not being a prey but as an aggressor. Goong-dahl then notices Mina, a girl that he falls for, being bullied by a bunch of punks. Thinking that this is his chance, he confronts the bullies. Of course with his luck, he ends up confronting the school’s notorious thug Jae-koo. Not knowing, Goong-dahl agrees to meet with Jae-koo on the rooftop after school for a fight. Once he realizes how much crap he has gotten himself into, Goong-dahl and his friend tries to devise a plan to save Goong-dahl’s ass.

I thought the film was real good. It made me laugh plenty of times. The main character kinda looks like the Mad Hater from Alice in Wonderland. Ha^2 But yeah, rent this film if you like high school flicks with comedy, action, bullies, “come-backs”, and all that. I know I do!

Nisei Festival

On Sunday, me and my sister went to the Nisei Festival held in Downtown Los Angeles. For all you guys who don't know what Nisei Festival is all about, basically it's a celebration in honor of the second generation Japanese peeps. We first went to the Tofu Fest where we got to taste a tofurkey meatball dog, we also got lobster balls !?!, and we washed those foods down with Barley Tea which wasn't sweet but more on the refreshing side. I got a mean ass farmers tan. SUcks! We then chilled cause the tofu fest was kinda weak. So we left and sat outside for the parade. It was pretty dope but at the sametime very tiring.

Here are some pictures that I took of the festival parade. Oh and I also got a shot of the mascot, the akido!

Here is a picture of me and my sister having a cup of Barley Tea.

This is me eating the Lobster on a stick! Good shit, I thought it was the best food we ate there.

Michelle, chillin and eating.

Overall, I thought the festival was cool. I wish there were more things to do. The shopping was kinda weezy, but I guess it was more just to witness culture and other things Japanese. Good Times.

Karaoke-ing with my homies from MGM!

So on Friday last week, me, Peter, and Judy went to go eat at sushi mac on Sawtelle. After lunch, we decide that it was a bit early still so we all ended up walking over to the J plaza down the street. We then, got some mochis and pockys and headed over to the Karaoke spot. HaHaHa It was pretty dope. My first song sucked ass cause I tried to sing a Justin Timberlake song. Never try and do that. After, we kinda got our groove, but yeah me and Peter pretty muched stunk all the songs up while Judy kicked ass. HAHA good times before I quit this mofo. Cheers!

Placebo Reunion Circa 2006

Today is Monday, but on Saturday we had the long awaited Placebo Reunion.
I must say it was pretty dope. Even though the traffic sucked mega turd nuggets, me and my sister were able to get to Irvine by a decent time. It started off with some L&L Hawaiian fried rice with a side of Korean BBQ and some BBQ chicken. I then polished that off with a juicy mouth watering hamburgeusa. Wit Cheeze... Then I fatted myself with some cheese cake, 2 frosted cookies, chocolate strawberries, "better then sex" cake, and some other junk snack foods that I don't remember. Me feelin lathargic, the crew goes outside to take a group photo.
We then return to the Cordia residence to watch the Placebo Video that Mike invisioned and where Andrew and Mark helped turn into a reality. Thanks to the three homies, cause the video was hella dope. My part was sick :) Almost cried. Oh, and then we get a copy of it with this sick ass dvd box with extra footage, sick cover art and design by Mark "Mr. Eyes" Reyes, and a tshirt by Hai Quality himself! Hmm, anwywho, the video is 2 hours long but we made it to a four hour viewing. Woop. After the film, we did our traditional crew battle slash session slash toast the bread slash I don't know what the f' I'm talking about f'. Session was sick, we then battled our 4 new members. Congratz to Rocky, Rob, Mike, and Marl for being apart of the family. I can see real good things from this. Oh dude, we had the sickest freestyle cypher. After we sweated our guts out, we had some food, played street fighter 2, and had a raptastic rhyme fest. Very funny. I think I was rhyming with the fellas till 3 in the morning.

How To Keep My Love

Well, I just picked this film out of a hat. Didn't know what to watch and I had this one on stand by. I guess I didn't really want to watch any crazy dramas so I decided why not throw in a romance comedy. The film wasn't bad. I thought it was entertaining. Kinda easy to read. With a little clever guessing you pretty much know what the film is about straight from the beginning. The film is about a woman Hyun Ju (Kim, Jung Eun) who is in love with this guy she met at college. They've been going out for 7 years and she's pretty much waiting for him to pop the big question.

Her friends, who are a bunch of failures in their own way, try and help her along. Then another story unfolds. As luck would have it, So Hun (Kim, Sang Kyung), her boyfriend, gets involved with an actress in an elevator ride gone wrong. They get stuck and I guess with his charm, the starlet Da Young falls for him. Now you find Hyun Ju go through great lengths to try and fight to save their relationship by competing with this lady. And so on and so forth. I give the movie an alright, half up half down thumb blast. I don't know, I like the main character but it wasn't enough for me to be like, damn this movie was crazy good. Rent it for the romance and laughs. I'm spent!

Dare mo Shiranai (Nobody Knows)

A while back, I always wanted to watch this movie called Nobody Knows. I finally was able to watch the film. My interest in this film spawned from the many awards that it has won. Well, first off, the movie is pretty good. But damn, its soo sad! It's about 4 kids who live with their mother. Apparently, the mother has problems so they keep moving around alot. They end up moving into an apartment where the kids are kept inside all day except the oldest son Akira (main character and hes pretty damn good). One day, there is a note left on the dinning table telling Akira to take care of his brothers and sisters. The mom freakin leaves them. You'd think she'd come back but she doesn't. Now they must survive own their own. Seriously, I was pretty mad and depressed the whole film. Not because of the film, but of the situation. I guess this was based on true events and it really made me mad. You really feel sorry for these kids. I'm even mad just typing up my review. My heart goes out to them. Very powerful film.

One Point English Lessons

Hmmm. I just got back to work today and I saw this nice video. Damn, being at work sucks. Okay well enjoy the video, I thought it was very entertaining. And the chick in the video isnt half bad. Oh, viewer discretion is advised.

Woop Woop!, Meat Curtains, Is that a.. Is that a baby?, Man....Give Me that Shit!

Once upon a time, 6 dudes ventured out to Las Vegas to do their annual "UCI chill with old roommates and friends" trip. The trip was pretty bad ass. And Cheese-less pizza!

First off, at the butt-crack of dawn on Friday, Barry, James, Mike, and Vincent took a flight out of the Burbank airport on the Southwest 737.

Man, that shit was nasty. I was dead tired at 5:15 am. But the flight was awesome. Seriously, I don't know why we never did that earlier before. Driving 4-6 hours both ways seems like a crappy idea. Only took less then an hour and BAM, in Vegas, Baby! Later on that night, the two Jasons finally arrived and that’s the end of Friday. (I would go more in detail with the story, but I have no pictures to outline that shiznit!)

Saturday, we all got up tired as hell from Friday. Got some foot long hot dogs in the food court and headed over to Wynn.

Vince won big time, while I lost big time playing no limit hold'em. 600 dollars in total losses for me in the overall trip. FAWKKKKK! Can't stress that FAWK long enough. But I guess it was for fun. /tear, /cry, /fume!

We then ate a bomb ass buffet at the Wynn. Thanks Vince for paying. Woop Woop!

We then came back to unwind before we went back out.

Circle!

At night, J-Taj, Brooks, and Barry ended up rolling over to TAO, at the Venetian. While the rest, played with meat curtains. Damn, Tao was pretty f'n tight. Mad AC, we got hooked up with my friend who got us through the VIP line (no wait), and the girls were plentiful. Seriously son, we 3 was surrounded by horny ass females! HAHAHA at 11 o'clock the ratio was 3-1000. For real. No joke. I wish I brought my camera. Then as the night progressed around 1 o'clock. It became a cock fest! But man, I was faded out my mind. I almost passed out walkin in the crowds and talking to Tajima. SOLO!!! There was a solo Asian dude who went to the club by himself. On a happier note. (Please don't read if you’re easily offended by pervetedness two thousand and one) I love the architects who came up with the design of the club because they put the women’s' restroom on the second floor of the main bar. So there was a line of women standing next to a glass railing. Glass nukka. Did I say glass? Yes Glass. I saw ass like no other!

Well this wasn't exactly at the club, but you get the idea. And damn, the girls really got into it too during those lines. All nasty and shit, freakin each other! Got to see it to believe it...

5 in the morning! We just got back. I don't know, but i was gone. Umm. Pretty f'n tired too. Sick ending to a tight trip!

Next morning, I was bummed that we had to leave. We all took off back to LA. End of story.
